CoreDial (Clear Voice)

Create the Fetchit user in the ClearVoice portal, enable caller ID lookup, and split a multi-location clinic so each site sees only its own calls.

Prerequisites
ClearVoice Account Manager access

ClearVoice is a Schultz Technology branded portal provided by CoreDial. Configure the client here before you set anything else up.

Creating a Fetchit user in Clear Voice

Step 1

Log into ClearVoice and open the Account Manager.

The Account Manager in the ClearVoice portal

Step 2

Select the customer and go to the Account Settings tab.

The Account Settings tab for a customer

Step 3

Under the Service tab, enable Caller ID Name lookup & storage and save.

Caller ID Name lookup and storage enabled under the Service tab

Step 4

Under Manage Users, go to Users > New User and create the user. Scroll down to Applications and select YES for Schultz Technology Solutions API Key.

The Fetchit user
First Name: Fetchit
Last Name: User
Username: [site name]@fetchit.com (e.g. dolittle@fetchit.com)
Password: generate one, and record it in ITGlue
The new user form with the Schultz Technology Solutions API Key set to yes

Step 5

Add all extensions, select Primary, then save.

Record the credentials

Every credential you generate here goes into the client's ITGlue entry. You will need this username and password again when you create the phone system worker in Orion.

Clinics with multiple locations

When a clinic has several locations and wants Fetchit bubbles to appear only for the calls coming into that location, do the following instead of the single user above.

Step 1: create a dummy extension

Create a dummy extension outside the customer's normal extension range.

Creating a dummy extension in ClearVoice

If their regular extensions are 100 to 110, use something safely unused such as 9998. Name it Fetchit Dummy and set its outgoing caller ID to the primary location's number. Use the default settings, filling the fake name into the relevant fields.

Leave the extension disabled once it is created.

The dummy extension left in its disabled state, with grey rather than green icons
The icons are not green, so the extension is inactive.

Step 2: create a dummy user

The dummy user
First Name: Fetchit
Last Name: Dummy
Username: <clinicname>fetchit@dummy.com (e.g. dolittlefetchit@dummy.com)

Set the Schultz Technology API key setting to No under Applications. Under Extensions, add only the dummy extension you just created. Set Group Membership to All Users, which makes this user a sinkhole for the calls that would otherwise be shared globally and appear at both locations.

Step 3: create a Fetchit user per location

Create a Fetchit user for each site, the same way you would create a single one.

Per-location Fetchit users
First Name: Fetchit
Last Name: User

The username has to be unique per site. For a Dolittle Animal Hospital with two locations:

  1. Dolittle Animal Hospital: dolittleah@fetchit.com
  2. Dolittle Animal Hospital, West Country: dolittlewestah@fetchit.com
Add only that location's extensions

Under Extensions, add only the extensions belonging to that specific location. Do not add every extension blindly, or both sites will see each other's calls.

Step 4: create a group per location

Create a group for each client location, named after the site.

Creating a group for a client location

Under User Membership, assign only that location's Fetchit user. For the Dolittle Animal Hospital West Country group, that is dolittlewestah@fetchit.com.

The location's Fetchit user assigned under User Membership

Under User Dashboard Settings, tick Only specific users… and add the same Fetchit user. Save.

Repeat for every location.
