About Fetchit®

Fetchit® is Schultz Technology's instant client retrieval software for veterinary clinics. When the phone rings, Fetchit looks the caller up in the clinic's practice management software and shows the person answering a popup with the client, their pets and their recent history, before anyone has said hello. The clinic skips the opening round of questions, calls get shorter, and more of them get answered.

Fetchit is made of a desktop application on each workstation, an optional background service on the clinic's server for on-premises practice management systems, a browser extension for cloud-based ones, and a set of cloud services that connect to the clinic's phone system and dispatch the popups. Depending on the phone system and the practice management software involved, an installation touches some or all of these.

WIRELESS CALLER

A blue bubble is a caller the clinic already knows, matched to a client in their practice management software. A red one is a number Fetchit could not match. Both arrive while the phone is still ringing.

Where to start

  • Getting started is the installation guide, start to finish: the phone system, the practice management software, the client entry in Orion, and the desktop application. If you are installing Fetchit for a clinic, read this in order.
  • Configuring the phone system covers CoreDial (Clear Voice), White Label, Ring Central, Skyswitch, and the CallerID box used when a clinic's system is not supported.
  • Gathering PMS settings covers each practice management system Fetchit integrates with, and what credentials each one needs.
  • Installing the desktop app covers the server, the workstations, the browser extension, and upgrading a legacy install.
  • Troubleshooting collects the failures we see most, including the long list of reasons bubbles may not appear.
Who this is for

These pages are written for the IT technicians who install and support Fetchit at clinics. They assume access to ConnectWise Control, Orion and the clinic's own systems.
