Invite people to your organization, choose what they can do, and manage the computers that get popups.

Three team members connected to a computer

Everything about your business in Fetchit lives in your organization: the people who use it, what each of them can do, and the computers that get popups. You manage it on the Fetchit website.

Finding your organization

Sign in to the Fetchit website to see your organization's page, or choose Manage organization from your account menu in the desktop app's Settings. The page has up to five tabs, and you only see the ones your role allows:

TabWhat it's for
OverviewA summary of your organization.
Call HistoryEvery call, with search. See Call history and reports.
ClientsThe client records Fetchit looks callers up in.
DevicesThe computers connected to your organization.
ManageYour organization's details, people, roles and connections.

Joining an organization

The way into an organization is an invitation from one of its administrators. When someone invites you, it appears in your notifications on the website and arrives by email with a Review invitation button. Choose join to accept.

If you sign in and aren't in an organization yet, the website asks for your License Key. A license key confirms an invitation you've already been sent; it doesn't let you in on its own. If you don't have an invitation, ask your organization's administrator to invite you.

Inviting someone

On the Manage tab, under Members, choose invite member. Type the email address of the person's Fetchit account in full, pick the role they'll have under Invite as, and choose send invite. They join when they accept, and until then they show as Pending.

The person needs a Fetchit account before you can invite them. If they don't have one yet, ask them to sign up on the Fetchit website first.

Roles

Every member has a role, which decides what they can see and do:

RoleWho has it
OwnerThe person responsible for the organization. The owner can do anything any role can.
AdminPeople who run Fetchit for your business: settings, people, roles and computers.
MemberEveryone else. The starting role for anyone without another one.

Your organization can also have its own roles, listed under Roles on the Manage tab, each with the permissions it allows. The Admin and Member roles are set by Fetchit and can't be changed.

To change someone's role, open them from the Members list, pick a new role under Role, and choose save role.

Removing someone

Open the person from the Members list and, under Danger zone, choose remove. Their Fetchit account stays; only their place in your organization goes.

To leave an organization yourself, choose Leave this organization on the Manage tab and type the organization's name to confirm. You'll need a new invitation to come back. The owner has to Transfer ownership to someone else first, and the last admin has to make someone else an admin.

Computers

The Devices tab lists every computer connected to your organization:

ColumnWhat it shows
DeviceThe computer's name.
AccountWho signed the computer in.
StatusWhen it was last connected, or "Never connected".
SystemIts operating system.
VersionThe version of Fetchit it's running.
UserThe person signed in to the computer itself.

Click a computer to see more, including when it was first and last seen and its recent connections.

Signing a computer out

To disconnect a computer, for example one being replaced or given to someone else, open it and under Manage choose sign out. It stops getting popups straight away and stays signed out until someone signs in on it again. See Installing Fetchit for signing a computer in.

A computer's name comes from the computer itself, so to change it, rename the computer.
