Your Fetchit account is yours alone, and it works across every organization you belong to. To manage it, open Manage Account from your menu on the Fetchit website, or choose Manage account from your account menu in the desktop app's Settings.
Your profile
Under Your Profile you can change:
- Your picture. Click it to upload a new one and crop it, or choose Reset to remove it. A new picture can take a few minutes to show everywhere.
- Your name, between 2 and 32 characters.
- Your email address. If it hasn't been confirmed yet, a banner offers to Resend email with the confirmation link.
Your password
Under Account Security, find Password. Enter your Current password, then your New password twice, and choose Change Password. A good password:
- Is at least 8 characters.
- Isn't something easy to guess.
- Has upper and lower case letters.
- Has numbers and symbols.
If you forget your password
Ask for a link
On the sign-in page, enter your email address, then choose Forgot password?.Check your email
If the address has an account, a link to choose a new password is on its way. It works for one hour.Choose a new password
Open the link, enter your new password twice, and choose Set password. This signs out every browser that was signed in to your account.
If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, or contact support.
Two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication means signing in needs a code from your phone as well as your password, so nobody can get in with your password alone. We recommend turning it on.
Start setup
Under Two-Factor Authentication, choose Authenticator app.Scan the code
Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password.Confirm it works
Enter the 6-digit code the app shows. From now on, you'll enter a fresh code each time you sign in.
There are no backup codes. If you lose the phone your authenticator app is on, contact support to get back into your account.
Signing in with Google
You can sign in with Google or with Auth0 instead of a password. Under Third Party Providers, turn on the ones you want to use. Turning one off means you can no longer sign in with it until you turn it on again. You can't turn off your only way of signing in.
Confirming it's you
Some sensitive actions, such as leaving an organization or handing it to someone else, ask you to Confirm access by entering your password, or your authenticator code if two-factor authentication is on. You won't be asked again in that browser for the next 15 minutes.
Keeping your account safe
- Use a password you don't use anywhere else.
- Turn on two-factor authentication.
- Never share your sign-in. Each person should have their own account; see Your team and computers.
- If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and contact support straight away.
